£1 Billion Investment to Slash Business Costs, Boost Growth, and Clean Up UK Roads

The Zero Emissions Truck and Van grants and the Depot Charging Scheme aim to help businesses make the switch to electric vans and trucks.

The UK government has announced a £1 billion funding package to help businesses transition to electric vans and trucks, aiming to cut costs, drive economic growth, and reduce emissions. Through initiatives like the Zero Emissions Truck and Van grants and the Depot Charging Scheme, companies can save up to £81,000 on electric trucks and £5,000 on vans, while also accessing up to £1 million in support for installing charging infrastructure.

This investment is designed to tackle key barriers to EV adoption, including high upfront costs and limited charging access, while protecting businesses from fuel price volatility. With the logistics sector playing a vital role in the UK economy, the funding is expected to support fleet decarbonisation, boost resilience, and accelerate the shift towards cleaner transport across the country.
