Government Boosts EV Charging Grants for 2026-2027
The UK government has announced a significant increase in EV charging grants, now covering nearly 50% of installation costs (up to £500) for renters, flat owners, and businesses.
Maximum Savings: Grant amounts have increased by over 40%, capped at £500 per charge point.
Expanded Eligibility: Available to flat owners, landlords, renters, homeowners without driveways, and businesses.
Lower Running Costs: Home charging can reduce fuel costs to as little as 2p per mile, saving drivers up to £1,400 annually compared to petrol cars.
Extended Deadline: This final uplift is available until March 2027.
By simplifying the grant system and subsidising upfront costs, the government aims to make electric vehicle ownership more accessible for those without traditional driveways and help businesses transition their fleets.

The Twingo E-Tech joins the Renault 4 and Renault 5 in the brand's growing all-electric lineup. Designed specifically for urban environments, this new generation combines the "playful" DNA of the original 1990s Twingo with modern smart technology.
Location: Visitors can view the car at rnlt London Battersea, an immersive retail space designed for a relaxed shopping experience. Renault aims to prove that electric driving can be both stylish and practical for city dwellers.
