Top 10 EVs in May

Below, we dive into why these EVs were best-sellers at Aston Barclay throughout May.  

In tenth place is the Volkswagen ID.3 Hatchback. The Volkswagen ID.3 Hatchback is a compact electric vehicle that combines practicality with modern design, making it a strong contender in the EV market. The ID.3 delivers smooth and responsive acceleration, making it well-suited for urban and motorway driving. 

In ninth place is the The BMW 3 Series Saloon Hybrid, a compact executive car that blends performance, luxury, and technology. It's one of BMW’s most iconic and best-selling models, known for its sporty driving dynamics and refined design. 

In at eighth place is the Nissan Qashqai e-Power, a unique hybrid crossover that blends electric driving with petrol convenience, making it an appealing option for UK drivers seeking efficiency without the need to plug in. 

A new entry that hasn’t been part of the EV leaderboard so far, in at seventh place is the MG5 Electric Estate from MG. The MG5 Electric Estate is a practical and affordable all-electric estate car, offering a blend of versatility, comfort, and value. It's particularly appealing to families, or those seeking a spacious electric vehicle without the premium price tag. 

The KIA E-Niro Electric Estate stays in sixth place this month. The Kia e-Niro Electric Estate, now known as the Kia Niro EV, is a practical and efficient electric SUV that has acquired attention for its impressive range and affordability.   

Dropping from third place to fifth place is the Peugeot E-2008 Electric Estate. This SUV has a robust and assertive design, with an immediate acceleration and a range of up to 250 miles. 

The Tesla Model 3 Saloon full electric has been bumped off its top spot to fourth place this month! This Tesla can go up to 436 miles on one single charge and you can add up to 175 miles in just 15 minutes at one of Tesla’s 60,000+ global superchargers. This particular Tesla model is at the forefront of the electric revolution and we’re seeing more and more of these vehicles on UK roads. 

Its Tesla again with the Model Y Hatchback in 3rd place this time. This Tesla model is known as the family-friendly option, as it has the spaciousness of an SUV combined with the sleek, modern design. It is available in several trims, including long-range and performance. 

In 2nd place it's the fashionable Nissan Leaf Hatchback, moving up the ranks from last month. This EV is an accessible and practical entry into the world of zero-emission driving, it is known for its reliability, user-friendly design, and affordability. 

The biggest seller this month, knocking Tesla off the EV top spot is The Volkswagen ID.4! A brand-new entry from last month. The Volkswagen ID.4 is a fully electric SUV that combines practicality, comfort, and a respectable electric range, making it a strong contender in the family EV segment. While Volkswagen refers to it as an SUV, its spacious design and versatile boot space give it estate-like practicality.
