In this mini-series, we’re speaking to colleagues who’ve made the switch, embracing a greener future and sharing their journeys along the way.
Meet Anthony Mills, Head of HSEQ & Compliance at Aston Barclay. Anthony recently joined the EV movement, and here’s what he had to say about the switch:
What model of EV do you drive? Polestar 4.
Did you have any hesitations or doubts before switching, and how did you overcome them?
The same as a lot of people – range anxiety. I did my research and chose a model with enough range to cover all the sites I visit. I also had a home charger installed, so I can plug in overnight and start each day fully charged.
How important is sustainability in your everyday life?
Massive – it’s part of my job! Having an EV is a big step towards living more sustainably.
Have you adopted any other eco-friendly habits recently?
We’ve always been big on recycling at home, and now we’re focused on teaching the kids the importance of turning lights off and building those everyday eco-habits.
Would you recommend going electric to your coworkers or friends?
Absolutely. There are so many options now in terms of size, range, and performance – there's almost too much choice these days.
How has the performance of your EV compared to your previous petrol/diesel car?
Overall performance is great. Speed was never a big factor for me – I drive like my dad! Let’s just say, speeding tickets wouldn’t be a good look in my role.
What’s your favourite feature or aspect of your EV?
The features are next level. After two weeks, I still don’t think I’ve figured them all out!
