SANTANDER MAKES ITS DEBUT AT ASTON BARCLAY PREES HEATH IN JANUARY
Posted 14 December 2017
A global finance brand makes its debut at Aston Barclay’s weekly Prees Heath fleet sale on the 17th of January.
Santander Consumer Finance will be selling a range of voluntary terminations, repossessions and ex- PCP and PCH cars as part of Prees Heath’s busy fleet sale starting on 17th January.
It will sell up to 60 used cars as a monthly benchmark against its current auction company and is the first time in 10 years it has adopted a second remarketing provider. Every car is refurbished prior to sale to optimise used values.
The Santander sale goes live in January just as Aston Barclay launches phase three of the Buyer App which provides instant messaging and notifications direct to specific buyers.
The Wednesday Prees fleet sale continues to go from strength to strength offering over 300 used cars each week. To cater for its continued fleet sales growth the Prees site will expand from six to 12.5 acres over the coming 12 months after recent planning permission was granted by Shropshire Council, providing the centre with additional service opportunities.
Vik Hill, managing director of Santander Consumer Finance said: “As we continue to grow our business the new benchmark sale makes sure we keep a more expansive eye on market prices and used demand. We also welcome the new App that Aston Barclay Group has launched to make it easier for buyers to source and purchase used vehicles at physical auction.
“The Prees fleet sale is one of the most established in the country and has an enviable track record in the fleet sector. We are pleased Santander has chosen Prees to launch its monthly benchmarking exercise. Investing in refurbishment prior to sale means Santander’s used stock is always of a high quality when it reaches auction,” said Martin Potter, Aston Barclay’s group operations director.
