As we continue to navigate these uncertain times, here's all our updates as they happen.
To protect our staff and customers, Aston Barclay continues to implement procedures to enact guidelines given by the Government and conduct business in a Covid-secure way.
We have already implemented a one-way system in our auction halls, installed protective screens and sanitising stations across each of our centres, and regulated the number of buyers on site at any time to maintain social distancing guidelines.
The safety of our staff and customers continues to be our main priority. In line with new Government guidance, from 24 July 2020, all customers, vendors, and other visitors coming on to site to view cars are required to wear face coverings.
If you would like more guidance on face coverings, please visit the Gov.uk website.
Starting 15 June, Aston Barclay is welcoming back buyers to its halls to view vehicles before a sale. Auction halls remain closed to the public at this time, but our teams are providing a valuable service to buyers wanting to inspect vehicles before bidding and buying online. See the full detail here.
In keeping with guidance issued by the National Association of Motor Auctions (NAMA), we have prepared a COVID-19 risk assessment that addresses the additional risks posed by COVID-19. You can see the risk assessment here.
The rapid global spread of the COVID-19 virus is presenting unprecedented challenges to businesses, governments and communities worldwide. We would like to assure you that we, at Aston Barclay, have taken all the necessary steps to protect and safeguard the health and welfare of our people and our customers. We have now implemented comprehensive business continuity procedures, which include remote working wherever possible and very limited staff travel. Click here to view our customer advisor notice.

Aston Barclay Business Update.
I want to update you about the latest actions that we are taking to act responsibly for our team members, customers and suppliers.
Throughout recent weeks we have actively followed and acted in accordance with the advice from the government, NHS and WHO. We really are in uncertain times and therefore we have taken the stance that the most important thing that we can do as a business is to follow the advice of experts and act responsibly to keep everyone who interacts with Aston Barclay as safe as we possibly can.
On Monday evening, in accordance with the government instructions, we closed all our physical auction sales. As of 5pm today, Friday 27th March we will be closed for all final deliveries and collections. Our digital sales channels remain open for sales to take place and we will advise buyers as soon as we are able to when vehicles can be collected or delivered.
We know that this is an incredibly difficult time for everyone and I am proud of the way that all Aston Barclay team members have embraced their responsibilities and how our customers have worked together with us during the unprecedented challenges that we are all facing. I thank all of you for this.
We are constantly reviewing all relevant advice and guidance and will keep you updated with changes that we are able to make as a business to get back to normal ways of working. Finally, I hope that all of you and your families stay safe and very much look forward to welcoming you back to our sites just as soon as we can.
With my best wishes.
Neil Hodson, CEO
