Aston Barclay Westbury began its life as Westbury Motor Auctions in 1986 and was acquired by Aston Barclay in 2000.
Our South West centre is located approximately one mile from the A350 and is half a mile from Westbury train station on the Reading to Plymouth line.
The centre has free customer parking, full valet facilities, café, smart repair technicians, comprehensive transport and delivery services and a team of staff dedicated to making the vehicle auction process simple, rewarding and profitable.

Starting with Aston Barclay in 2011, Danny began his career as an office assistant at Chelmsford. Prior to working for Aston Barclay he had served with the British Army for 22 years and brought with him a process driven and methodical approach to the company. Quickly moving on to managing fleet and dealer accounts, Danny totally immersed himself in the industry and eventually dealt with the biggest and most technical accounts. Danny studied for and gained a management level 5 qualification courtesy of PWC and Aston Barclay, which stood him in good stead for his current position. He is a prime example of Aston Barclay’s succession planning ethos.
Prior to working for Aston Barclay, Andrea worked as secretary to the MD of Dacia Concessionaires Ltd, when her employment was transferred to Westbury Motor Auction in 1988 as secretary and cash office assistant. Andrea took on the role of office manager in 1995, and when Westbury Motor Auction joined the Aston Barclay Group, Andrea incorporated the additional role of branch accountant. Andrea passed her AAT Level 4 NVQ in Accounting 2008.
Ian has worked in the car auction business since 1987. He started as an auction assistant for National Car Auctions and progressed to became an auctioneer in 1991. Since then he has had successful auctioneering roles for a number of leading auction groups. Ian joined Aston Barclay in 2000.
Lee entered the motor trade in 1989, starting off as a vehicle inspector then moving into commercial management and finally taking the role of auctioneer which he has held for 15 years in various auction houses across the UK. Lee joined Aston Barclay in 2007 after a successful career as commercial manager and auctioneer at a large auction centre.
Trainee Buyer Engagement Manager
Beginning his career as an apprentice in October 2015, Sam has developed some invaluable skills and gained great knowledge of the motor trade industry, in a relatively short space of time. Successfully passing his apprenticeship qualification in October 2016, Sam then became a full-time employee at Aston Barclay managing multiple vendor accounts, allowing him to build strong relationships with customers, buyers and vendors alike. Proving his worth and capability, Sam has assumed the role of Trainee Buyer Engagement Manager, a role which he has grasped completely and made his own. Sam is another prime example of Aston Barclay’s ethos of successful succession planning and employee development.
